It was originally at term that fire fighters used to describe a dangerous situation in which the fire fighter is hit by a huge rush of fire. Now it means any situation that may potentially be dangerous ( literally or figuratively).

A blowback is when a person puts a joint in their mouth with the lit end inside and the end you take a puff on facing out.

The guy then goes to the other person then blows the joints smoke into the other persons mouth to supposedly get a better stone.
