Do you mean the one where they all go into the mansion and things start happening when the dark comes? I think you might be talking about the Haunting with Owen Wilson, Catherine Zeta-Jones and a couple other actors.
Or you could be talking about Rose Red, a Stephen King movie about a little girl with autism and they go into this house to see if she can make things happen.

Now I'm thinking about the movie Rose Red. They did go to stay in the house but when things started to get a bit hairy and they wanted to leave, they couldn't. Hope this helps.
