I have tried numerous "pills" and had an IUD at one point, even did the shot for awhile. I loved the IUD, but my partner could feel it and he said it was uncomfortable. The shot made me gain weight and VERY moody. I just don't like having to remember the pill everyday. Friends have told me that the patch falls off and the ring falls out. Any suggestions? Thanks Ladies.

I like you have tried all options out there minus the ring. I love the mirena and I too encountered the same problem as you with my partner and I recommend my patients to tuck them around their cervix b4 intercourse and with time the strings to become for flexible with vaginal secretions as well as with semen. The other option you may have is having them snipped but you run the risk of the dr having a hard time pulling it out. I have a short canal so that wasnt an option for me so I did the tucking for about 6months (they usually stay in that position) and now they usally stya up there or if they do dangle they are soft to the point my fiancee dosent even notice them anymore

The nuva ring doesn't fall out...Mine never has! It may come out sometimes during sex, but I will just set it aside and put it back in afterwards. I gotta tell ya....I love it. It would be easier for a tampon to fall out than the ring...so that should give you an idea... And my husband can't feel it either....

I have the Mirena and my hubby has never felt the strings. Your OB/GYN can tuck them behind your cervix or trim them so that he can't feel them in most cases. Its the easiest BC ever.
