not to bad the people above are right it hurts worse to not have it done. Besides the worse part of the whole operation is the IV that they put in...I do suggest the surgery and I do suggest a lot of ice and a nice bed with a lot of pillows... If the doctor has to stitch or shave the meniscus is whether or not you get to walk 3 days afterwards or not...And another thing i suggest highly is moving your knee the day afterwards because if you don't move it around it will become very weak and then therapy will have to happen.Hope this helps!

That's arthroscopic surgery and it is most definitely painful. Meniscus surgery requires a knee brace, often a locked one followed by physical therapy. My daughter had this surgery, weeks of pain, 4 months of brace and 6 months of therapy. Good luck.

The price of knee surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

To each their own with pain tolerance, but I'm sure it hurts I'm going in for my ACL after the holidays totally not looking forward to it I'm looking at months for recovery thankfully I'm young that it won't take as long as they say to heal up. But again I'm sure it hurts it's major surgery it's got to hurt.

No it's not painful as you'll be anesthestized; and the recovery is very fast if you do what you're told. Personal experience speaking here.
