Here's the situation. I'm a very sociable guy. I'm out at least once a week, usually twice, sometimes 3 or 4 times. Therefore, I also know a lot of people. I love going out in big groups, networking, introducing friends to other friends and such, so whenever I go out I wanna invite everyone I know. Now, the easiest way to do this is by cell phone. But it costs money. Just to send the initial email about whatever is I'm doing probably costs about $6 each time. This doesn't include writing back to people with questions. Not too much to spend for one event, but for 10, 15, 20 a month? Adds up. So what I do is, I send an email once a month detailing everything I'm gonna be doing for that month. Big money saver but... what happens is I get people emailing asking me what I'm doing that month, or I get people saying "you never told me what you were doing." Any suggestions on how I can get people info that they'll remember without having to spend too much money?

I have a mobile with unlimited text. That's not the problem. The problem is each email costs money, and I don't want to switch phones at this point. Though that's a viable option in the future.

While computer email is a good idea, I didn't include it as a solution because my access is limited; it's a pain to get on the computer several times a week, not to mention respond to everybody via computer, consistently.
What's a landline?

I don't do any regular events, so that wouldn't work, but good idea.

Two suggestions:

1] Use Evite.com which allows you to store a distrobution list and sends out reminders automatically.

2] Hit a regular schedule so people can learn through repetition. For instance "The first Friday of the month is movie night at the Regal". They will remember is because it will be a habbit.

People have crazy schedules that no other people can believe. Use regular email (no extra charge) or use the real phones (remember them) or send a note in the mail (old fashioned like). Many people will never remember them, only the ones who put it high priority or miss out on enough of them! I finally put a final notice email to people and did not remind them again. They are adults and shouldn't have to be reminded of everything ....unless you enjoy being their parent.

Use regular email and have them call you for details. Or, just tell people you run into to invite people for you, friends you know they hang out with.
