regifted? I hear that some people do...I haven't but...I'd love to know your thoughts on whether you've done it, or have ever gotten a "slightly used gift"???

no, I didnt..but i have a funny story about a woman i know.
When she got married she had a gift she didnt like at all....after a time someone was going to get marry, so she sent that gift to them, but....inside the gift..........forgot the card with the names of the ones that gave it to her.

yes i have. although i always appreciate the fact that people even thought to give me a gift, sometimes i get things i know i'll never use and it's such a waste. so if i can, i regift. but i'd never regift something i had used.

Yes I have, tons of times. I come from a big family, really big! We do this all the time and have for decades, well centuries if You consider the Ancestors and all that. Generally it's done only amongst ourselves or if we do it with an outlander then we think very highly of them, that's a sign that they are an honourary member of our Clan and is a mark of the highest respect. Some cool stuff has been passed back and forth amongst us. I just gave my Nephew who is also my Godson a golden Claddah ring for His son who was just born the other week. Keep it in the family is our motto and it works, it works well!

slighty used gift? The best gift I gave someone was an old used book I found at the book store for really cheap. But you have to know the person well and know what book (or whatever else) to get them.

You can regift if you have not used it, even slightly.

yes I have I got two of the same things for Christmas and since I didn't need both I re gifted.

ye so long as you actually havent used the gift its ok, if your just passing on the gift to someone whod appreciate it more thats good.

only holiday decoration type gifts, and only if they are not to ugly, or too cheesy to admit to giving as a gift
i leave them in the box, rewrap and save them for "extra" gifts to give those people who give you a gift, and you never got them one!
