Sit down with your mate and try and patch things up, keep calm and apologise where is neccassary. Respect her opinion and hope for the best. If things don't work out, then you'll have to forget about him or her for the time being. If you really value your friendship, then try to give him or her some space. Then you can try again in a while when she's had a chance to cool down and think things through properly.

This is your life, you need to concentrate and achieve all you can in life.
If she is distracting you first of all have a word and tell her it's annoying you. If she refuses to listen or gets cross - break away - she's no real friend.

you haven't given much info here, if your mate is a problem then she is nit your mate, forget her and find better friends, its not worth the stress.
