I keep the screen really tiny in the corner so that at first glance, all you can see is the spreadsheet in the background! And then when I notice someone's around I just click somewhere in the spreadsheet (which minimises the IE box) and do a formula trace, are then I stare at that for a minute and look engaged.

I have a direct line of sight to the bosses office so if I need to look busy I can, or if I need it in a hurry I just minimise the window. Simple really.

I am!! But I'm lucky in that I sit right at the back of the room facing the boss so I can see when he leaves his little lair and heads my way and take appropriate back to work action!!

In office on my own. Keep this runnin in backround. Nice thing about it is when u minimse the window (when someone comes in) the icon in the taskbar just says "Yahoo! Answers" so it looks like your on a search page of some sort. Works for me anyway!

yeah at work boss is in a meeting with all members of staff i chose to stay out of it and cover the phones as the voice mail system has crashed..... such a difficult time.
