i work everyday. i make 9.41 an hr. after i pay rent, lights, buy food, car note i'm broke until the next time. my friends do not have a job. they get free rent,food, medicaid and get to party every night and sleep long as they want. so once again why should i work to pay these bills when i can stay home and party and get them paid for free.

Because they live with their parents and you chose to be more independent?? Why don't you try to cut down your expenses, lets say, if the rent is too expensive try look other cheaper places, car payment too high?? change car!!. Now if that doesn't do it for you, try playing the lottery and pray to God that you win!

They don't give you enough to live on .I broke my leg this past June and had to go and get help and it took forever for them to even help me and when they did finally help me after 45 days of waiting i got 150/month in food stamps and only 140/month in cash .Not alot to even try to live on .They won't help an able bodied person if they can work .If you make so little they may give you a small amount in food stamps. The system is so hard and tight that the people who need help have to suffer. I had a broken leg and i almost had to beg for help . I would rather work if i could but some of us can't work and that is the people they will help temporarily .

Yeah.
But both roads are traps. You really gotta train for a better job or start a business, or marry up. Finding the time and energy to do that while working your *** off and worrying about paying bills is the hardest part. But you gotta do it or this will be your life.
Work smarter, not harder.

Because if you do work, and not mooch off the freebies, then you will be that much more of a GREAT person, who is productive and respects themselves. Youre contributing to the way society should be. It makes people feel good to be self sufficient, and not a "moocher". Youre responsible, and that says a lot.

You have that option but think long term - you will get promoted and get paid more in time. You will be able to get a mortgage and you are more attractive to ladies for starting a family.
What seems like a bad deal will turn out to be great - just grin and bare it, your friends will blow their braincells and end up poor and jobless whereas you will not.

at the end of the day they are bums,,do you want others to think you too are a bum? working is tough but at least the only person you can thank for what food you do have,,is you,,there will always be scroungers and at some point they will turn into older scroungers,,it is hard to get employment when all you have done is nothing,,no employer wants you,,now thats tough,,maybe you could train for something else to improve your prospects?

Because you're better than that. You don't want to depend on others when you can be self sufficient.
Think long term. Will they still be mooching off others in 20 years? 30 years?
Self sufficiency is a wonderful thing. It's freedom.
