In the US there are Federal and State laws governing child labor. State laws obviously depend on what state your are in, Federal law sets the minimum age at 14 though there are some exceptions that permit working at even a younger age.

You can start right from age 16 as soon as u complete ur Higher School. U can even take up any part time job and do ur studies together.

Most of the firm, may only keep you permanent after age 18, as most of the govt firm or private firm they have fixed up a certain age of employin people as to avoid the Child Labour Factor. However, u can enquire this from ur STATES EMPLOYMENT AGENCY & get it clarified (every STATES have its own specified RULES)

However, for part-time jobs there is no certain age limit. u can start anythin after ur school or after age 16.

you can start working at the age of 16 . but you have to get a workers permit from your school and this goes towards credits for your graduation. some places will still hire you without one. but the leagl age is 18 because they figure you are out of school and going to college.
