Just make sure your profile is not public. You might want to chat on the phone with her a little bit (of course with an unknown number) just to see what kind of person she is. Don't give her any personal information like what kind of car do you drive, your address, where you work, the places you hang out at if you are concerned about your safety.

I wouldn't think so...how do you know she is a real girl? Anyone can hide on the Internet and portray themselves as anyone they want to... it's too risky.
