I deal with road rage on a daily basis. I hate nothing more than coming up to a driveway, road way, or store parking lot and some moron pulls out in front of me when I am clipping right along and when I am less than 20 feet away from where they pulled out in front of me. I generally don't even slow down, I continue on and pass them and it doesn't matter if I'm driving in the country or on the city streets. Sometimes they get on my rearend and flash their highbeams at me, but I just flip them the bird and continue on. Most times if this is done in town, I slow wayyyyyyy down so it pisses them off even more.
Yes, I have MAJOR road rage. And I believe that the vast majority of the people on the road should not have their license if they are stupid enough to pull out in front of another vehicle that is going the speed limit and then slow them down. And I also am now at that age that I think EVERYONE no matter what your age should be mandatory to go every 2 years for a reexamination. If you can't follow the rules completely, you lose your license.

My husband is a serious road rager. Example - One time at a four way stop sign, a guy did a rolling stop and kept going. My husband should have been the one to go next, not the other guy, so my husband starts to go anyway. I yelled at him to stop (our kids were also in the car) and he's like it's not his turn and got at mad at me for yelling at him. We ended up in a huge argument over it. He later apologized, but still............ I'm more of the OK the guy's an @ss, but if he wants to go that bad go, I can wait the 10 extra seconds to go. My husband on the other hand is very aggressive. He has serious issues on the road. Don't pass him on the freeway and then slow down............I'm surprised he's never had an accident.
The funny thing is, get him out of the car and he's the nicest guy you could ever meet. But in the car he becomes The Terminator.

I have, few times, but I realize that you never know who you are dealing with...
The cause for mine..... the car in front of me was trying to parallel park on a one way street. It took him a while, therefore, he created a line up behind him of at least 10 cars. As he was trying to park, he was mad that I was not further back - so that he can have more space to manouver, so what does he do? He puts the car in reverse and HITS ME! Not once, not twice but three times !!!
Between each of these times, he would open the door and would ask me: Do you want me to do it again "*****? I swear, I started seing black.
I gout out of the car ( I'm 1.65m or 5'5) and THREE guys came out of that car. These were older man, they were painters who were working on a house near by. Anyhow, I was so mad that the adrenaline was pimping my veins like never before that in my head, I thought I could take all three of them - I didn't care.
The driver of the other car came straight at me and I went straight for him and we were yelling in each others faces. We were so close that we were literally spitting at each other. We were pushing and I think that we both waited for other person to hit first so that someone can press charges. THANK GOD I had enough common sense not to do it.
Anyhow, I moved my car aside as the cars behind us were beggining to be very impatient. As I was sitting in the car, trting to come down, all three of them came by and started shaking my car hitting the top of the hood. They told me that if I was to call the cops, they would lie and would say that I wasn't paying attention and did not have enough tim to stop so I hit him.... Remember I was behind him - so I would automatically be at fault. All the witnesses were gone by now.
To this day, when I think about it, I get mad - and this was 3 years ago. Like I said, you never know with whom you are dealing with and whould be careful to whom you flip the birdy to.

oh yes--people are just in a hurry and want you out of their way---
but there are some drivers that just want to provoke the situation and will get in the passing lane and not move over when another driver comes up behind them--i was driving the other day on the
freeway with our 2 girls in the car and pulled into the passing lane to pass a slower moving vehicle--when i pulled into the passing lane the guy in front of me also pulled over but he didn't pass the
slow moving car he just blocked traffic-then-i looked up in the rearview mirror and saw a guy with his wife in the truck right on my bumper so i pulled back into the right lane-then-i heard a horn just blowing and not stopping -it was the guy that was behind me now tail gating the man in the left lane. he just layed on the horn and the guy in the left lane refused to move -so-the guy blowing his horn passes this man by driving right into the median and passed the man beside me--oh by the way the man that wouldn't move over also had a child in the backseat.
just one more note on this subject === we like to fish and take our boat out on the lake and there is plenty of lake rage also, especially with these huge masive hunts of fiberglass boats on the lakes these days running wide open causing wakes of 3-4 feet of water. these people don't even think about the fisherman in smaller boats that sit lower in the water---swamping is something that some people don't even think about when on the lake -- so yes there is road and lake rage --my feelings is just get out of their way and let them go--what comes around goes around.
