They're quite expensive for what they are and full size consoles don't cost that much more. Plus they're more likely to get knicked or break.

Are they really worth buying?

I was thinking aswell - fair enough they might be good for on the tube, but won't you miss your stop if you get really into it? Or what if you were playing a game like Grand Theft while on the way to work and with Grand Theft you have to go to your safe house to save the game, that can take ages and you'd be standing around in the tube station for ages trying to drive to your safe house, just so you can turn the bloody thing off and get to work.

The PSP is great. You can freeze the game just by turning it off so saving does not have to be done. The PSP also does the internet and plays movies. I use mine a lot on flights.

I have the Nintendo DS and I really enjoy it. Of course, the PSP is more useful for things other than playing, the DS has also it's advantages. The Touch Screen is very precise and lots of games are really fun. Still, the games are somewhat focused on younger gamers, but not everything has to be violent to be fun, right?
