Upgrading from 192 to 256 will not make much difference in speed.

512 DDR RAM is the minimum you should have if your mainboard supports it.

256? your living in the stone age my friend... I have 3000mb of ram on my system

the reccommended just to run windows XP is 128

go to your local pc store... they'll supply and install it for about 30 quid if your looking for a minor upgrade.

determine type of memory you have in your computer and purchase additional or larger capacity memory sticks. Tiger (and a lot of memory resellers) has a memory configurator to find out what kind and size you can buy... its pretty cheap so I would suggest trying to get to 512 things will run much smoother for you.

from who?

why don't you get a 1gb stick and then have 1.1 gb of ram.

the best idea is to go to www.crucial.com to find the type of ram you have, then buy it from somewhere else.
