if you were given the choice to be a superhero or a secret agent, which would you choose and why?

i personally would like to be a superhero, though its not to do with wearing tight clothing! but i think the idea of having superpowers would be so cool. plus, i'd also have the ability to do kung fu, in addition and kick and punch my enemies. if its either would you base your super hero alter-ego on a piderman, superman or wolverine from the x-men for instance or would it be your entirely own idea? and if it's a secret agent, would you base it on james bond, or become something completely different? would you battle for your honour, for mankind, humanity or some other cause? what type of situation or dilemma would you like to solve? fighting terrorists perhaps? alas, i'm so looking forward to reading your choices!

to curiousmo: this question is just for a bit of fun for heaven's sake. if you don't like it, don't answer it. besides, why should we have to ask serious questions all the time?

superhero! i would love to have any powers even if they were crappy compared to other superheros powers i'd just love em, especially flying, and invisibility

I like it, the hero inside.
I'd go for a Dr Strange type of super hero. Why? Lots of travel to exotic dimensions, mind boggling adventures whilst there, licence to shout out stuff like 'By The Quivering Claws of Clatchnithak!!' etc. I mean all the other heroes have more stereotyped adventures.
My Sanctum would be inside an antiques shop that could telleport almost anywhere, magically insinuating itself into arcades and streets. With an aura preventing scrutiny.
Plus I would have my own team of mystical agents: A magical robot, a minor deity, a Cute/annoying imp type creature from another dimension.
Not to forget my mystical babe girlfriend.
Mostly the character would be solving problems by choosing the right spell and also being devious. Occasionally a rousing speech. Morally, no killing etc.

There was a character on an episode of The Batman called Gearhead who was made of nanotechnology and able to merge with machines. Also Upgrade from Ben 10 can do this too.

I'd go for those powers, with the ability to disguise myself as an ordinary human, since looking like a walking toaster gives a bad impression on a first date!

Personally if I did have superpowers I'd fall into the villain category more than hero, although only the bank robbing, armed robbery kind, not world domination and mass terror.

Absolutely a Superhero!! They always fight to save mankind mostly in the better for a noble cause, you get a cool range of superpowers!!
Special Agents are cool, but its confusing for whos side you really on as governments all tend to be the same in the end. Most secret agents end up alone, confused and betrayed.

I think superhero over secret agent any day. The reason being that if you are a secret agent there is a very real danger of dying by being thrown in a pool with sharks with laser beams on their heads. At least if you are a superhero you can have powers to get you out of bad situations.

i chose boddhisattva and then a buddha, possibly similar to a priest or monk who looks for enlightenment.

it is already not easy being a boddhisattva or buddha or even a priest or monk to imagine the temptations and enlightenment would bring.

there is hell beings and mara to appease and avoid as much as possible but just as well as subconsciously knowing the hell beings and mara could be enlightened sooner or later or whichever timing.

but negative and positive is just on a very very thin line.

"spiderman 3" may have some ideas on the above.

a secret agent is akeen to knowing the secrets and keeping the secrets to oneself and letting the secrets known to specific people only or an average audience.

both super hero and secret agent has their sufferings and happiness just as normal people have but in different degrees.

i would try to be as neutral as possible and not battle anything if possible because i realised heaven will catch up with anyone who strays away.

Super hero. I would be more along the lines of someone like Dr. Fate or Doctor Strange, but using the magic of the Norsemen (Vikings) a character with vast magical powers and knowledge at my command. With that I wouldn't need any other abilities. My main battle would be to protect the folowers of ALL the ancient, pre-Christian religins and restore the ancient gods of those religions to their rightful place among their cultural descendants.

My power is telekinesis and mind projection.

Ability details:

1. Telekinesis.

Max. Distance of object-controlling: 100 meters
Max. Object weight: 20.tons or 20.000 kg

Speed and condition of telekinetic response based on object distance:
0-10 meters=instant, unlimited
10-20 meters=fast, semi-unlimited
30-40 meter=concentration required, very few energy consumption
40-50 meters=full concentration required, few energy consumption
50-100 meters=emotional trigger, full concentration, quite a bunch energy consumption

Max. projection distance: 20 meters at once. If I wanna project my soul to a body more than 20 meters away, im going to have to project several times first: body within 20 meters, then project again from there to another body within 20 meters.

Weakness: cannot project to supers who have telepathy, strong minded people, strong mind-focus people and supers with mind powers.

I dont wear thights, it's a heroic concepts only for children. But i wear cool suit like blade. i have a martial arts ability.

i live in a world full of supers like in x-men. my identity is not a secret so i dont wear mask or stuff.

i fight for good either humanity, mankind, honour, watever but it's mostly about fighting bad supervillains. it has to be a.s.s kicking.

i wanna be in the dilematic situation of doing things i like and fighting evil. Im bad in love, because girls keep dumping me for i put fighting evil over having s.e.x with them. finally, i'll get a girlfriend who is super too. she's plantokinesis (controlling plants and stuff)

Superhero they have magic powers that would be wicked to zap anyone that annoys you and of course to protect the innocent and uphold the law!!!! I don't go for all that pant wearing on the outside of my tights thing though.
