Fallacy is not necessarily a lie.
A lie is when a person knows the truth but DELIBERATELY claims something else.
In a case of a fallacy -- a person might himself believe that what he is saying is true, but in reality it is a fallacy.

Some examples:
1. A well known fallacy is "correlation does not imply causation"[1]. For example some study may found that listening to rap music is linked to violent behavior. People upon seeing this study often incorrectly assume that listening to rap CAUSES violence.
2. Another one is "appeal to majority".[2] I might say most people prefer coke to Pepsi -- therefore coke tastes better. However just because most people believe something -- it does not make it true. For example in antiquity most people thought that earth was flat even though it was not correct.

Sort of. It's a false conclusion that might look correct on the surface. There are many kinds of logical fallacies. Here's one : if all Bs are Cs, then all Cs are Bs. This isn't true. Can you see why ? It's like saying if all chickens are animals, then all animals are chickens. Most logical fallacies are more subtle than this however.

No. A lie is a malicious intent to decieve for the agent's benefit. A facllacy is simply an assertion that is untrue.
