To me it feels like popping in my belly or even like I have swallowed a frog ! Is this quickening or is this wind ? I have been told that because I am a first time mom and also plus sized that I may not feel the baby move as quickly as slender moms to be !

Totally possible that it was quickening. My little one thumps around here and there (sporadically but more so now) and it feels like well, like I said, a thump. Like someones flicked you with their thumb and forefinger on the inside of your belly.
Once it's happened some more, you'll get used to it and easily be able to tell baby from other bodily stuff.
I started feeling walnut between my 16th and 19th week and I wasn't as little before getting pregnant as I'dve liked to have been.
Exciting no?

For me it felt like I had a butterfly flapping around in there. Almost like I was being tickled from the inside out. Hold onto that feeling! It's amazing and soon it will be kicking and punching. Amazing also, but not so cute after the 1000 time! Remember your baby has been moving around since 8 weeks, but it was to small to feel. Plus size or not you know what gas feel like and it's not comfortable. Feeling your baby move for the first time feels funny, more like what you described. gas feels like well, gas. Good luck!

I am plus sized too, for me it felt like a muscle twitch. At 5 months even being plus sized you should be feeling something. It sounds like baby to me. Congrats.

that is just the baby moving around. Yes, since you are plus sized you won't feel it like slender pregnant women do, but u will feel it. almost like what you said. i frog jumping around. Maybe even butterflies in your tummy. It's a wondering feeling to feel your baby move inside you whether your slender or plus sized..
