I remember it well. Of course, we never had computers and Q&A when my 2 were babs but we did have day time tv. You've bloody earned it, good for you.

My son only takes 2, 20 minute naps a day. So when he naps I'm running around trying to get something extra accomplished around the house during that short time. But yes I love the silence and time to myself even if it means just doing housework.
My son sleeps all night since he doesn't take much of naps. So thats a very blissful thing too!

Nap time? While nap time is "quiet time", it's not so blissful or relaxing here. I take nap time to do the things that are easier to get done without the baby nearby. I get to shower, mop floors, scrub toilets and the like.
I get my "blissful quiet" before my daughter even wakes for the day! Between my husband getting to work (we talk while he's on his way) and our daughter waking up, I had 15-30 minutes all to myself. I get to sit down, read a little, pray a bit, surf the net, finish my tea and get myself ready for the day.
Oh, and yes, I do quite enjoy my quiet time!

I love nap time. Most people say to sleep when the baby sleeps, but I use nap times to straighten up the house, check my e-mail, or call my mom. Sometimes, I pour myself a glass of tea, sit down with no noises at all, and toast the silence.

Lol no, even five minutes of quiet on answers is better than nothing! my daughter is 2 and i'm hoping her growing out of nap time will coincide with her starting nursery so i can still get some peace!
wouldn't swap her, but i would turn the volume down a little!

Be Prepared -When they start running riot, YOU sit in the play pen and have a break and let the wee one go mad, while you have a cuppa char and a rich tea biscuit, bliss
PS - Why bother tidying up 20 times a day, let them have fun and tidy up when when they have crashed at the end of the day
