I need to keep my child from accessing MySpace without password protecting my computer or taking the power cord with me everytime I leave the house.

in the internet explorer goto tools menu - internet options - security click restricted sites click sites and add the website you do not want to access. Thats all your job is done.

the only thing u can honestly do is ..sit down and talk to them
i know it might not work...but if the kids are somewhat computer savvy..then it is not hard to do ANYTHING u want..so..i think u need to lock the door..take the cord..or chill out and let them talk to friends
if i was u...i would install a keylogger and that way u can monitor what was said..when it was said...anytime u want....u can see if they are just taklking to friends.....going to porn sites....or whatever...good luck

Dang. Cutting a teen off of MySpace is like saying they can never use a telephone again.

But to answer your question there are any number of content filters you can use, including the one that's already been suggested.

Go to a site like download.com, tucows.com and/or softpedia.com and search on "content filter".
