Red Fridays.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support
our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We
are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for
God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We
are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends,
simply want to recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea of showing
solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and
respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and
every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a
deafening message that ... every red-blooded American
who supports our men and women afar, will wear
something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United
States on every Friday a sea of red much like a
homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every
one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will
not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it
will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is
on their side more than ever, certainly more than the
media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can
we do to make things better for you?" is ..."We need
your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out
and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something red every Friday.

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!!

Why don't, instead of wearing red on fridays, you show the troops some support by mailing them a care package for Christmas?

Sure your red shirts are flashy.. And you like the way other red shirt wearers complement you on your thoughtfullness.. But you know what it means to the men in Faluja? Butkis.. Send them a care package.... Send them 10...

Heck, want to show your support? Volunteer at a local homeless shelter and care for the men coming back from the war, injured, alone, and without a home.

But red shirts? Thats what you do to make yourself feel better.. If thats all you do, I hope it helps.

The problem arises from the Republican Party having red as it's signature color. I don't support that party. And, sorry, I don't support the war in Iraq. I support my troops for their bravery and tenacity, though.

Personally, I'll wear yellow as a symbol of hope and a silent message that I want them home with their families soon.

I hope you are not confusing supporting the troups with supporting Bush's Folly that has managed to get 3000 PLUS of our sons and daughters killed and countless thousands maimed for life?

When a person chooses to join the military, they have a duty to this country. To go when and where they are called, no matter the consequences. That's their agreement with us.

We have a duty to them, and that is to not send them on missions that are frivolous and for anything other than to protect this country from harm. That's our agreement with them.

We have fail our soldiers, we have failed our sons and daughters by sending them to be slaughtered for an arrogant man's folly.

If wearing red symbolizes that WE failed them, then yes, lets wear red and lets be ashamed. But instead of organizing color days, why not spend every friday demanding Bush bring them home by Christmas. Lets honor their sacrifices by taking them out of harms way. Lets do our duty and bring them home so they are here to protect us when we need them.

I don't know how much more clear the evidence could be than what has been shown that Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have been playing GI Joe in their backyard with the precious children we raised to take our place in the future of this country. I find it horribly ironic that this is the generation that we put first put into car seats and wouldn't let them drink red food dye in their Kool-Aid, but we had no problem sending them into harms way for the ego's of men who apparently have no respect for the American people nor the Constitution that we live by.

If wearing red will bring our children home for Christmas, then wear red every day, not just Friday.

Hi, as a Vietnam and Desert Shield-Storm veteran myself , and coming from a family of veterans going back to the war of Northern Aggression,
I wear Red everyday of the week, because I now work for the largest oil field service company owned by Americans , in the world.. Halliburton.. and I am a proud member of the family..

Good luck
