Well, there are many reasons why one should or should not study logic. It is mostly a matter of personal preference.
If you mean the kind of logic mathematicians or economists use, then one good reason for not studying it would be the difficulty of the subject. It is difficult and requires complex math. Also, unless you are an aspiring mathematician, economist , philosopher or are unusually intelligent and bored it might not be a practical choice of subject. I don't think that there are too many applications of logic in everyday life.
However, it is an interesting subject to read on. It, like any other topic of learning, can be very enriching to one's life.
Oh, and logic is not common sense. In fact, it may even seem uncommonsensical--it's a math subject, deduction and such.

Everyone has their own, it's called opinionatedness! Even scientists have gotton their theories wrong! It's ill-ogical to study logic, it'll get you nowhere but in circles. Why do you think people are so tired by the end of the day?
