These people try to stay in this house overnight for one million dollars. Everyone dies except for two people I think. At the end, they end up on the tower outside of the mansion looking over the whole city. This I know is a remake, because I think Vincent price played in the origional one.

Its known as 'House on the Haunted Hill'. Ofcourse its a remake as the orginal one was in 1959.

I know which movie you're talking about .... one of the two survivors is a woman who lied about being a journalist upon first arriving. The building is an old insane asylum.
