I just bought a laptop recently and I would like to buy some games to play. If you're really big on computer games, what do you like to play?

I like Grand Theft Auto games, all of them are pretty good, but I'm not too keen on the 3rd one.
I like them because the games have options, you don't have to do a certain thing when you play the game. You can do main story missions, side missions or just explore the map. They're addictive too!
I bought the first Sims game years ago and bought the second one a couple of years ago, but the game gets boring after a while. You get really into it when you first get it though. That probably wouldn't be a good idea to get for a laptop though because it requires a lot of memory, a really fast processor and an excellent graphics card. Trust me I know, I had to update my whole computer just for that game!
It depends what kind of games you're into, Grand Theft is good for action and exploring, The Sims is good if you like designing and organising.
Age of Empires is a pretty good strategy game, if you're into that sort of thing. You get given a little village and you have to build it up and win over the other villages (these are either run by the computer or you can do a multiplayer game over the internet with your friends), you win either by invading the other villages and killing and burning everyone and everything, by seizing all relics (little gold statue things) or by having the most advanced technology. So it's up to you how you want to play the game. Quite interesting in my opinion.

CoD2. Such a good game, just read some of the reviews from sources like PC Gamer. The game can run fine on a laptop (if your laptop is decent), just don't have the graphic settings all the way up.
Oh, and use the Kar98k. Not any other weapon. it ownz

K, here are a few which are really good games in my opinion:
Sims 2-I'm sure you've heard of it.
Max Payne-there is a #1 and #2.
GTA (Grand Theft Auto)-An extremely cool game!
Then there are the other few such as Age of Empires 3, Hitman, etc that are also quite cool.
