My ex-preacher's wife used to say that all the time knowing good and well she wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire. You just smile and say "luv u 2" and let them go on about there merry little way. Avoid conflict were it's not necessary. Speak the truth were it will do some good, hold it back in name of courtesy.

It does seem when we get older we do say the words out of habit. You don't know how much you love or care about someone until you loose them. In our society today we spend too much time trying to make a living and we don't spend enough quality time with the family. For the person that just says " I love you", but really hates the other. Seek counseling or get out of the relationship, so the healing can begin. I realize some people feel trapped by their situation, but why live a life with someone you don't love or who doesn't love you.

Some guys will do or say anything just to get a gal to put out. In today's world it's really hard to say whether some one loves you or not and whether they mean it. Like the old saying..."Actions speak louder then words".

i would love just to hear someone say
those words to me whether they meant
them or not ...... It has a sweet sound
in hearing someone say, i love you ......
If i know they do not mean it, well,
I'll still smile & enjoy the phrase which
carries a tone so endearing .......
I Love You ...... Has a nice ring to it .........

A few days later I'd mess with their head and say, "Babe, did you ever tell anyone you loved them before?"
OR "Honey, don't you think it's overrated when couples tell each other, "I love you" I'm so glad we're beyond that."
