Maybe they genuinely dont know what to say?! My friends dad died recently and although I sat and listened, I didnt have a clue what to say other than Im here for you and Im sorry...I couldnt say anything else, like "I know what your going through" because I dont, maybe thats where they are at. Also, some people 'laugh off' things as a way of dealing with confrontation or situations they are not comfortable being in, if your friends feel they really cant truly help you this may be their way of dealing with the fact thay have no answers! Ive sometimes felt this way about my friends, and although it was hard, I talked to them about it and realised they werent doing it because they thought less of me or didnt care, they just didnt know how to deal with certain things. Go to a trusted adult for anything your friends cant answer, they are older and (apparently) wiser after all!

Understand what friendship entails. Friendship is presently teaching me everything i need to know about generousity. Firstly try to be honest and clear to and with every 1. Secondly recognise them as often as you can-i mean when nothing stops you at that point. Thirdly learn to give in forms that are material,as circumstances permit you though. Don't ever go out of your way and do wrong because of a friend. Remember the only person who is not a distraction to you is you in a real sense. Selfishness in a relationship is due to the absence of any of these lessons it (friendship) teaches.
For the issue of your worries, try taking it to some one who you know cares the most,God, dad , mum or any elderly person, but more experienced than you are. peace

these people are not your friends. Friends are supportive, they listen, they care, they try to help.
perhaps you moan too much and they find you depressing to be around!
Some people always have problems and get involved in other people's dramas and always have something wrong with them that in the end you dread asking them how they are as you know she will have a new problem.
Maybe they are fed up with your dramas and want a fun friend? you really have to decide if it you or them that is being out of order.

If it's the same problems then they might prolly get bored listening to it over and over again. Otherwise, it's (no offence, but sorry to say) because uve got a bad selection of friends. True friends never hesitate to help out, whether via action or just a lending ear. =) Id advise you to get better friends and remember to be a good friend to them as well. Cheers~

yeah! I 've got that kind of friend too. I'm soooooooooooooo mad at them sometimes!!!! Today when I go to the singing contest, my friend told everyone not to go cheer for me, and I'm so mad about that. She tell every one not to cheer for me because she didn't have a chance to go and she is jealous about that.I really don't know what is the meaning of friends? I try to change them but it was useless, let me give you some suggestions. JUST DUMP THEM! I dunp my friend today. Get a boyfriend! Boys will never ever got jealous at you.

if they were true friends they would listen and try and help you with your problem, do you help them maybe you should think about getting new friends...a friend should be there for you in good times and bad and always make sure that you feel good.

Because if the understand, it will become their duty to solve the problem and poor fellows they dont have solution for your problems, so they escape by laughing.

Depends how often you tell them your problems. Everyone's got their own problems - if you're then gonna keep going to your friends & dumping your problems on them, they've got to cope with theirs AND yours - & no one wants to do that.

Then i wouldn't class them as friends as friends are there for you through thick and thin and not to judge etc.
