I'm in favor. I also think it's reversable too. I don't have one myself, but I think it's cool. This question reminds me of a t shirt I saw once. It had two oranges hanging on a tree and underneath it said, "All of the juice, none of the seeds." LOL!

I got mine right around the date of my 21st birthday. That was almost 20 years ago. I paid $250 for it. That was the absolute best investment I ever made in my life. No I don’t have any children, and I am damn proud of it.

No it did not hurt, and it only took about 10 min. It healed up in about 5 days. There is no scar. My sex life got even better than it was before because I didn’t have to worry about getting anyone pregnant.

Go for it. A Vasectomy is the gift that keeps on giving!

A vasectomy is outpatient surgery and is "easy" as far as surgeries go. The important thing to consider about vasectomies is whether or not you think you will even want to have children again (say you get remarried one day and want to have children with you new wife). Vasectomies are not usually reversible because of scar tissue.

Well, not for me. But, if you are done having kids or can really afford no more then I say go for it. I don't want it for me (at this time) because it hurts to get kicked in the nuts. To let someone snip, poke and pull at them voluntarily seems crazy. One day I assume that I will get snipped. Until then my hills are alive with music.

A benefit is that you can drop a load in any chick and not get her pregnant. A wife wouldn't find out either.

Yes, if the guy in question wants one. However, I think it's important that every person, male or female, be responsible for his/her fertility. I would never allow a man to decide my birth control for me, and I don't think I should decide it for him
