I don't have a lot of money and my existing 3 year old Sanyo TV is lousy. What are the good makes? Thank you.

the makers name doesnt mean much most all use the same componants its simple the more you spend the better quality componants used to make the tv lcd is better than plasma. remember the manufactorers will only make things that are going to last twelve months this is for two reasons :1 the get more sales :2 they get you to buy extra cover at big prices. so just go with a cheap beko they are made by phillips so agood bit of kit good value i got one

We've been looking at the Sony Bravia for about a year hoping that the prices would come down a bit, which they haven't. Now we're leaning toward Samsung because "Which" magazine gave them such glowing reviews. I wasn't aware the Sony and Samsung use the same components, but if that's the case then I'd not hesitate to recommend the Samsung.

the market leader as far as style and quality go is undoubtedly SONY. But they are costly! So, for a little advice, Samsung use the same internal parts as a Sony, but as it is branded with Samsung instead, is much much cheaper. Samsung come top in all of the comparisons, mostly due to price vs quality ratios.
The new Samsung TV's are sooooo sleek these days too, and have massive range of sizes - for all tastes.

I got a Samsung LCD tele about a year and half ago and it is fantastic.
Sony can be variable.

sony's never failed me and my dads panasonic hes had for 12 years works like a charm still
