Kids believe in Santa because of all of the magic that
comes with Christmas. Santa represents goodness,
kindness and caring. Three beautiful qualities don't you think. I believe in Santa and I am a 50 year old kid.
I believe in Santa every time I see the sparkle and glow
in a child's face. I believe in Santa every time I hear
a child squeal with delight when they open a present,
marvel at Christmas lights or hum along with their
favorite Christmas carol. And I believe in Santa when
I witness a miracle that is brought about when a child whispers, " I love you Santa". Yes Virginia, there is a
Santa Claus and I believe.

A long time ago there was a man called Saint Nicholas (yes really). He aparently went around giving gifts to kids at Christmas time. The kids loved him and eventually Saint Nicholas became Sinterklaus (German as far as I know) that turned into our Santa. The reindeer and Northpole were later add-ons to the legend. The question you should ask is why would kids not believe in him. He's all over the place at Christmas time and he brings them lots of presents. I wish I still believed in Santa! :-(

Because they're family tells them and children will believe what they say. My kids know the truth about Santa. They believe he's not real. They believe what and who Christmas is all about. They believe in Jesus. They know how the character of Santa came about. They come home and share how their friends still believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. They simply tell them that they don't believe in them but they believe in Jesus. My children respect their friends belief and don't start confrontation. We just pray for them. So if a family doesn't believe the true meaning of Christmas then they will just believe what is heard and said. :(

i think of it is kinda unhappy for a baby to no longer believe in Santa. I made constructive my young infants have been given the complete Santa adventure. I advised all of them the memories. I gave them each clarification i could think of of whilst somebody else solid doubt. I even gave them actual info. I placed muddy footprints by potential of the tree. White whiskers have been discovered. Even reindeer poop replaced into discovered interior the driveway. i'm not sure whilst they actually stopped believing. that they had some super Christmas's and all of us have some astounding memories to seem lower back on. My boys are 20 and 24 12 months's previous now. Christmas isn't as interesting at our residing house anymore. yet we've super memories to seem lower back on and an entire bag of tricks to apply on the subsequent technology.

Because their parents taught them to believe and a child looks to their parents as if they were God to them and trust everything they say and do to be absolute truth.

Why do you think kids get so screwed up when the parents are abusive?

Cause they were raised to, and there's NOTHING wrong with that!! It's good to believe in good things like Santa.

Because their parents tell them so. Later they see that things aren't quite like that, but they get over it because they aren't kids anymore and they have some fun memories.

It's crammed down their throats every year, and their parents don't tell them any different.
I told my kids very early on that Santa "died", yet they still didn't believe me because of the media hype.
