Why not? What are you doing now? If you hate it; have the time and resources, then go for it!!!

I'm 46 too, and am thinking I missed the boat on being a teacher, now that I have young kids and do a lot of volunteering at the school. My problem is $$ and I don't want to incur that kind of debt at my age...

I had a family doctor when I was younger, who decided to go to med school in his 40s -- he graduated and started practising when he was almost 50. I have another friend who decided to be a teacher, and graduated at 43. It's never too late!!!

yes, if that's what you want to do then do it, you are never to young or old to learn something new, now understanding it is another story.

sure go for it, dont be held back, im at uni and i know students who are 60, and my unis oldest student is 81!!!! although ive never met him:(
