I have dsl and need help to get laptops access to the internet conection.

if the dsl modem is also a router and wireless, and the laptops are wireless, then the lappers should find the wireless modem. theres a code on the bottom of the modem that needs to be entered in the ssid and the wep code is also on the bottom of the modem.
if the modem is not wireless, then a router needs to be installed, with wireless, and the dsl modem ethernet wire connected to that router.
then, the lappers will find that router.
