Have you installed the proper software ??
check whether the following things are there,
1. sound card is activated
2. software installed properly
3. check for any loose connection with the speaker
4. try the speaker with any other medium and check whether it works
5. release the mute or increase the volume to the high level in software
if you have done everything and still face a problem, then cal for the customer care

you don't have a new one or you have to turn it up on the control panel or turn the power on in the speaker or something. and sometimes people's default player controls their volume . if you turn you windows media player or you realplayer up then it may work also

MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE OF THE SPEAKERS. CHECK THEM OUT. IF IT IS ALREADY ON BUT STILL NO SOUND, YOU BETTER FIX IT.
