I brought a linksys router that was for BT, but have since moved house and it has an NTL phoneline, can I still use the router?

I assume you have a combined modem/router.

If you have cable broadband from NTL, your BT rmodem/outer will not work. Cable broadband is different than ADSL broadband (which is what you get from BT) and require different types of modems.

However, if you get a cable modem, you'll still be able to use the router functionality of the BT router/modem, but not the modem functionality.

i dont think so as bt uses a normal phone line and ntl uses cable, but if you ntl modem has an ethernet output you can hook up the rooter like that and it should work fine. (only if your router is just a router, and not a modem/router combined)

yes, as long the router connects to an NTL modem. the router connects to a modem, not to a phone line, that's the modem's job
