Honesty is always the best policy.
No situation demands a complete violation of the truth... and worse still, if you start saying things you know to be false, you will cause cognitive dissonance in yourself... which could even potentially lead to you starting to believe that the lies themselves are true.... unless you are VERY familiar with the process.
It is generally better to tell the cold, hard truth.... no matter how cruel it might seem. Be totally straight-forward in your expression.... Deception will only harm you in the long run, no matter how good your intents.

Well, you know, you can lie if sb eagerly wants to know sht he/she has no right to know, and any lie-free answer would show what the truth is. For example if sb asks you what are your sexual fantasies. Or in a situation of probable death. While the 2 World War, don't you think it was better to say you do not have any Jews hiding in your place, so their lives could be saved? And in hospital, when somebody is dying but very nervous or with a very sick heart, it is also better to not to tell that, also to save this person's life in a way. Well, that's about it, I suppose. And I think it's great that you see the great value of truth, and decide to choose it in a world like this we have today. I'm with you. Take care.
