Most teens want to know the ins and outs of sex and much as we all like to think our kids can come to us for advice,i am afraid they cant , due to embarrassment on either the teens or the parents behalf ....
Having read some of these mags myself it can only be a good thing that they are informing the youth of today about sti's, safe sex, sexual health etc .... I don't think they look too much at the emotional side of sex it does tend to veer towards how to have great sex and positions more than anything .... but i guess we all live and learn and if this is only way that teens can get advice i think its fine entertainment or not !!!

i think that most teenage magazines are trying to inform of the dangers of unsafe sex, they usually give the information in the form of real life stories etc.
yeah they do have problem pages and you have to laugh at some of the questions people ask, so they can be entertaining, but really they are there to inform them.

The latter. Pick up any magazine and look at the ads...they are all selling sex appeal...it is the business of America (the prosperous dark side).

come on......REAL TALK....nowadays, teens dont need a magazine as influence for sex. If sex is the magazine's strategy, they should put their energy elsewhere cause sex been in the picture.

Some do, some don't. IT depends on who it's geared at. Older teens to 20-somethings may read Cosmopolitan, which has had articles giving tips on sex, but only for enterainment purposes. (sexual postitions)

They teach you that you need to be completely ready and emphasise using contraception, being careful, and only having sex for the right reasons (eg cuz your in love with your bf not because your friends are pressuring you to)
