I am applying to be a teacher, has anyone got any good tips to help me write a good personal statement?

If you can find an approach that shows that you have overcome obstacles in your life, and that you will see the good and the strengths in every child, that's gold. For example, I managed to mention a brilliant, but dyslexic friend of mine who got into trouble too much in elementary school in response to one of my essay questions.

Make sure you learn how to spell statement properly. I wouldn't hire a teacher who can't spell.
