You do have to be a lot more careful with a notebook computer than your toilet seat, that's for sure! I personally like the Toshiba notebooks. I bought my first one about 8 years ago and it served me well, so when it got too old and got time to replace it I bought two new Toshiba notebooks (one for me and one for my wife) and they have been just as good.

If you are going to get a notebook computer and carry it around with you I wour strongly recommend getting a good, well padded carrying case to carry it and all you other stuff. Never leave it in your car for extended periods in extreem heat or cold. I would also strongly recommend getting the extended warrenty, because if the system board or display goes out that is a very expensive repair.
