If you like to save particular mail, then use "File>Save As" and save the mail to your desktop in "*.eml" format.

If want all of your email to another email software, please install that software & import Outlook mail by using new softwares "Import Utility".

Take care.

Files and settings transfer was designed if you had and older computer and wanted to move all of your files to the new computer. It was a good idea, but its crap. The best bet, for example, would be just to click on the email, and drag it to your desktop. I use thunderbird for my email, which is really really really nice. If you choose to use thunderbird, all you have to do is import the messages from the desktop, into the new program, and you're set!

it really depends upon what you intend to use. Your email file is essentially a pretty poor database (although MS reckon they're addressing this). Once you have decided upon a new email client (outlook 2003 is excellent) then you can plan your migration method. Until then its not really a question with a definitive aswer. Post back and i'll try and help

Transfer files between computers?
Use My Network and share files/folders.
Or try something like LanTalk NET:
