No. How come a US appointed court be justified? Saddam should be tried in an international court. The trail is all a set up. That isn't justice.

A trial is when a bunch of people who are neutral listen to an accused person and the accuser.Get each side of the stroy and measure each side against the other based on natural law and legislation.
Saddam got a bunch of accusers as "neutral " and then accusers and it was all tried based on the occupiers opinion!!
Hence not justified

even the meanest sob under democratic rule deserves a tiral. Iam not sure if you are asking is his trial a fair one or is right for him to have a trial but in any case it is just to have a trial and as far as sentincing I have heard he will hang i dont like hangings but too me it just seems more humane to have lethal injection
Furtehrmoe although again I dont wathc new very much but there are some more tiral coming up that there is hopes of discovering new things to help the families of citims of mass obliteration so that is just to help them out instead of this just being about revenge that some closure can come out perhaps
