Well, this is the first year I'll be having Thanksgiving with my BF's family, so I'm not 100% sure. I have always cooked the meal myself, and when I do, I make:
Turkey
Dressing
Homemade mashed potatoes
Green bean casserole
Twice-baked potatoes
Cranberry-orange chutney
Sweet potato casserole (I know, all the potatoes, but I'm Irish! lol)
Creamed corn
Broccoli-rice casserole
Dinner rolls
Homemade pumpkin pie
Homemade pecan pie
Red velvet cake
Ugh....have I left anything out?
Now I'm hungry! :P

seems its an all day affair we have crackers and cheese and a fruit basket to hold us over until we have our meal, then for dinner we have turkey, stuffing, potatoes (white and sweet), squash, sometimes turnip, even though no one eats it, corn, peas, celery with cream cheese and old English filling, cranberry sauce, pickles sweat and sour ones, black and green olives, yeast rolls, cinnamon buns, gravy, apple pie, mincemeat pie, pumpkin pie, chocolate cream pie, cherry pie, blueberry pie, and I think that's all we usually have. We have about 25 family members that come. and a mess when its all done. Oh don't forget beer, whine, and koolaid for the kids.

Turkey (of course!), dressing, cranberry sauce, some of my sweet pickles made with my grandmother's recipe, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, salad, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and anything else that any of the family members brings. There's always something for everybody.
