Hi. Asda have a rather natty Goodmans machine with an 80GB hard drive, dvd burner and can read all formats of disc including CDs - all for £130! You could even use it as your CD player. Not seen a better price for an acceptable machine, hope this helps. Regards, Steve.

To my knowledge a DVD writer with built in hard drive doesn't exist. The hard drive is the bit that contains all of your programs Operating system and your stored files. Why would you want to change your hard drive?

You should be able to pick up a decent DVD CD Writer/re-writer drive for about £40.00 if you install it yourself. The next thing you have to decide what format you want do you want RW - or RW + the two formats are not interchangeable. I have seen a RW- + unit that can handle both formats but these can be pricey!

Look in the following places PC World, Argos (Yes I did say Argos!) and Dixons or your local reputable computer spares place.

P.S. If you intend to install this yourself before taking out your current CD ROM drive run the driver installation disk first! Don't forget to use anti static gloves when you have got you computer open as most of the stuff is highly sensitive to static and you could damage your computer by static!
