Can I put DDR2 RAM in this system, Is the speed of RAM referred by the Processor speed? Pls help.....

Speed and type of RAM used is dependent on the chipset used to make the mainboard.

In your case, the answer is "no way". DDR2 didn't exist back then except in a lab.

P3 is quite old. DDR2 might not be suitable for your system.
Speed of RAM is different from CPU. when you upgrade RAM make sure they are the same speed.

it means that you can browse the net, and do some 'office' work..800mhz will run windows XP..

I don't think that PIII motherboards support DDR2 Ram, the speed of ram is not related to speed of processor..those are two different things...

p.s. you need to find out the name/model of your mother board before you can find out which ram it supports...

Sorry, You can't use DDR RAM in this system.
You have to use SD RAM of 125 Mhz. Bus Speed.
