yes, Jewish - sadly some moronic football followers think all Spurs fans are Jewish - quite a few are!
Nothing wrong with that at all but those of small brain say yid as an insult & apply it to all Tottenham fans, jewish or otherwise.
Alan Sugar is Jewish obviously & that compounded the "yiddish" myth.
I actually grew up a Tottenham fan & most of my friends were to but none of them were Jewish. I'm still a long suffering Spurs fan!!! I hate prejudice & racism but the guys calling out "yid" sadly fall into that category.
Treat them with the contempt that their ignorance deserves.

"Yid" is derogatory racist word used against Jews, and is very offensive.
I dont understand why the police dont arrest people who use this word in public..they would not be allowed to use similar words like "n*g*r.
Oh , and Tottenham is NOT a predominantly jewish area as anyone who has ever been there will tell you....it is largely an Afro-Carribbean and Turkish area.

A "yid" is slang for a Jewish individual. Sometimes it's used as a derogatory term, so it's good to be careful about the context in which you use it.
