This is rather tricky...assess the strength of your team members individually and then consider different ways of keeping them motivated and focused. Females can be quite sensitive but given the right platform they are capable of alot of things. Have break in between working hours so that they continue to get time to know what their friends cooked for dinner last night and how the kids are doing...without affecting normal workflow. You can even organise group dynamics and teamwork camp so they are made aware of how much they need one another.
Thats just my 2cents of thought
from a female working in an all male environment.

Sorry, it's not possible. No where can you put together more than 2 women and expect it to be peaceful and conductive of a good work environment.
Could be why I chose to work in the construction industry and am the only female in my office.

Use a lot of wisdom & judgement. Don't get caught up in the gossip, first of all - that can lead to lots of drama. Don't discuss your personal business or anyone else's. You do not know who you can trust. Don't cling on to any one person & spend lots of time with them because then you start having expectations. If you choose to go to lunch with people, don't do it everyday. Spend some of your lunch times quietly by yourself - this way you are less likely to get caught up in the gossiping. Don't complain about your job with the women at work - if you have complaints save if for outside. Try not to respond to every situation emotionally. Let things slide & don't take stuff personally.

Good luck with that, I really don't see a way to get them to stop with their mindless gossiping and arguing.
