My friend gave me some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards she bought online and I noticed the little sticker on the bottom right-hand corner was a different color from the rest of my cards. (My cards have silver stickers;the other gold.) So I was just wondering if the cards she gave me were real or not...or is it just me?

On the bottom of each card there is a square of either silver or gold. Gold squares are on First Edition(the first print run of a set) cards and Limited Edition card. Silver squares are on Unlimited Edition and Promo cards. All your cards are real.

On the bottom of each card there is a square of either silver or gold. Gold squares are on First Edition(the first print run of a set) cards and Limited Edition card and u can get them in structure decks but sometimes I have baught booster packs and still find some with the gold thingy. If its not then it doesnt mean they are fake. Silver squares are on Unlimited Edition and Promo cards. All your cards are real.

The gold just signifies that it's a limited edition (e.g. 1st edition, etc.). But not only does the sticker have to be silver or gold, the hologram must contain the eye of anubis (the eye that appears on all the millenium items).

That sticker means it's original, silver sticker stands for a normal card, but gold sticker means a first edition card. First edition cards are only worth more. Your cards are fine. They are original, don't worry.
