sharp pains shouldnt be a sign to worry. that could come from the stomach or intestines (have you eaten pulses or greasy/spicy food lately-maybe you have a bit of indigestion/are your bowel movements normal? sorry for being gross!) and could be unrelated to your pregnancy. Watch out for lower abdominal pains menstrual like cramps. By all means though consult your doctor and dont take any medication (not even herbal or natural stuff) without consulting your doctor.

your body is trying to get used to the chages in your body, I had the same problem when i was pregnant with my son. I found drinking warm water helped. If the pains are really bad go and see your doctor.
