i have to unplug it and plug it in several times to get it to work i changed the power lead do when it starts it will work perfectly do you think its a faulty power suply its only 1 month old or some kind of overheat protection

If you mean the electric power shutoff after one second,,then the problem is in the power supply unit,, it is not expensive

change the power supply..disconnect it down to the power supply, video and board and reconnect cables one by one..its either the power supply or a conflict...many times its a bad drive or floppy on an older computer.

Please check whether you have sheduled some shutdowns. Also run a virus scan to make sure that there is no virus infection. Use AVG to scan.

check your CPU fan when you turn it on. If it isnt working it will shut your system down.

i have experience that too!!!
it is a virus infection!!!
i have to reformat everything!!!!
