I think the difference between us and many Muslim countries is that we see ourselves as a democracy believing others are free to have their own faiths and beliefs. Sure, some Muslims don't wish to integrate etc. but others do and they shouldn't be punished or tarred with the same brush. If mosques were banned from being built over here, wouldn't that push some factions of the Muslim community deeper underground? And wouldn't that also isolate many Muslims who do feel and wish to be part of modern-day Britain?

The government doesn't give money towards the building of Mosques and churches. Secondly not all Muslim countries ban the building of churches. Jordan for example has a significant Christian population as do several others. Many Muslim countires are secular meaning that there is no state religion as such and people have the freedom to practice the religion of their choice. Iraq was also a secular society which allowed Christianity and other forms of religion.

Stupid idea to ban mosques just because some countries are muslim.

Most if not all mosques are built with Muslim money not yours. Unlike Churches or Synagogues which are built with state money out of taxes partly paid by the Muslims.
Have you been to any Muslim country? If so, then your are either blind, deaf or dumb. All but Saudi Arabia got Churches and synagogues. Although currently there are many churches withing the compounds of the foreign companies that work in Saudi.
The reason that Saudi Arabia got no-officially speaking-Churches is they are 100% Muslims. There is no need to build churches or synagogues that will not be used.
I have lived , worked in many Arab, Muslim countries and been to many churches including Saudi Arabia.
You are not only ignorant but also inciting hatred and Islamophobia.
One more thing, why are the number of churches in this country as well as other so called christian states are getting pathetically smaller by the day. Why are they turning to restaurants and Cabarets? a question that needs an answer.

I know that it is an in-balance between Britain and some Muslim countries about the freedom of religion, but it is not the buildings, but the worshippers who make the religion. The Muslims are generally in this country a peaceful religion, but there are extremist Muslim preachers and followers, who are abusing this tolerance in religion. what is causing offence is that the Muslims can say what they like about our christian religions, and we don't react, the Muslims on the other hand, if something is said about the Muslim faith they get all hysterical and start demonstrating. At the end of the day all religions should be allowed to build their place of worship if the congregation want one.

nicely my best problem isn't the reality that those of muslim faith desire a place of worship interior their community, even nonetheless they stay in uk. in actuality I have not have been given any problem with that for the duration of any respect, as long because of the fact the muslim non secular leaders ascertain that their place of worship isn't switched over right into a hate preaching academy!!! in spite of the undeniable fact that what I do have a difficulty with, is the reality that for the duration of maximum cases the cost burden of making the mosque will unavoidably fall onto the close by council and the tax payer. i'm no longer attempting to declare that we would desire to continuously at cutting-edge refuse to construct a mosque on those grounds on my own. however the money would desire to be spent on different initiatives which might benefit no longer in effortless terms muslims yet all human beings in the close by section as an occasion. So i'm kinda split in this difficulty to be straightforward.

it's a good point but it's better to be the bigger person. imagine if we all lived under a tick for tack rule some of the greatest thing might of never happened but really they should be looking into improving hospitals and bus, i went to Amsterdam in Holland and there bus weren't just spot less but it didn't smell. more importantly if your in a foreign country you adapt it doesn't mean you abandon your culture and change who you are but accept the UK is a cultural melting pot and we have to work as one or it can tear the UK apart and look down on each other which would make chaos rampant.

This is a difficult question im muslim, but im also mixed race so i sit on the fence most of the time...the thing is...if tehre was a church in a muslim country..who would use it? the majority of the conutry is muslim like you said..where as you can really say england has on faith..its split up into christian, catholic,athestist..and all the otehr faiths..so england is considerd by all to be a multi cultraul society...the only reason why somone would want to build a chritsian church in a muslim country is so they can convert the people there to that religion...just my opiniun

Two wrongs don't make something right, One of the great things about our country is the tolerance of other races and religions and the rights they have something which in my view raises us above countries where these rights are denied, as long as the mosque is funded by the Muslim community I see no problem with it, they have every right to follow their beliefs, I personally follow no religion so could argue the same point about any church, as for me they have no purpose, but others do have a need for them and this I respect.

I have never heard of any Muslim state "officially" banning the building of Churches and Synagouges. Sure there are intolerant and extremist elements everywhere, but we all have to live together. After all, we are all a part of this world. Just because others are being intolerant, doesn't give you any right to be intolerant towards others. Reverse discrimination only results in increased discrimination on all sides. Peace be upon you.
