My native tongue is English & my Spanish is passable.
Know a few words in several other languages, but can't carry off a conversation in any others (except maybe Italian, but need to throw in a few words of English or Spanish to complete my thoughts).

I'd like to talk French fluently considering that I have French ancestors. Unfortunately, potential of a language is not passed down with the DNA I'd additionally love to talk Portuguese considering that we move to Madeira so much years within the Spring; I've discovered a couple of principal phrases, however going for a fortnight out of fifty two weeks is hardly ever valued at finding out a complete language.

To paraphrase a former US president, it depends on what you mean by "speak." I can speak a little Turkish, a little French, and very little German, but I'm not fluent in any of them. So I guess my answer is "three, sort of."
