Well...I tend to just try and string as many together as possible when in a particularly stressful situation but I must commend Puffy at the top there because I thought I was the only person who used Wankstain!!!!!
Bollocks and Bugger are particularly good for quick swears :-)

I have a favourite phrase i say when something goes wrong, altho i'm trying to curb my swearing as my daughter is 2 and starting to repeat things. f*ckity poo knickers is very relieving at stressful times! of course now i say 'oh foo' instead of most things just so i don't get a little voice repeating what i said!

My personal favourite is this Singaporean phrase "K-A-N N-I N-A BU CHAO C-H-E-E B-Y-E" which means "F**k your mother's smelly c**t". When written in emails or IM, it can be abbreviated to KNNBCCB. Basically this phrase can be used in more or less any situation although it is considered very offensive to some.
Certain words have had to be written in this manner to bypass Yahoo's censorship

It's so hard to just pick one - it kind of depends on the situation...
To deliberately upset bible thumpers trying to force opinions on you: "Jesus God damned mother f ucking sonofabitch Christ and his pimpfucking mother!"
To upset prudes: c unt usually does the trick
When things go wrong: 8ollocks, 8ugger and fuckitall in the ar5e
General insults: dicksplat, cocksucker, whorebitch, fucktard, shitlicking buttfucker, pigfucker, donkey raping shiteater (from South Park), shitstain, imbecelic tw*t, cuntsucking ar5elicker...
So picking just one is a tough ask
I think 8ollocks is probably the one I use most, or maybe tw*t.
