Your skin is the largest organ of your body. Keeping it healthy is paramount to helping it look good. Drinking enough water to keep the skin properly hydrated is essential.
To control acne, wash daily with a mild cleanser and an exfoliating cloth. These are available from any pharmacy. It is really important to get old grease and environmental dirt off our skins every night.
Leave your skin free of products overnight to give the skin a chance to breathe properly. Then, if you must moisturize and use makeup foundation, pick light non-greasy products that won't clog your pores.

Water is very good for you. I am a few years older than you and I notice the difference in my skin by drinking water during the day. If I forget and stop drinking water I notice my complexion changes and wrinkles do start around my eyes. Also drinking water flushes out your system which is good and helps to keep your weight down. Many people eat because they think they are hungry when really the body wants water. wrinkles have a lot to do with genetics, smoking and too much time in the sun. Water is not a cure all for wrinkles but it helps alot if you do not have a lot of wrinkles to start with (like me). In my case all those years of not baking in the sun like my friends did paid off. :) So Kar, drink that water. If you do not like water make some ice tea or lemonade. just be careful with that sugar. BOTTOMS UP!

Yes, water will make a major difference in your complexion, cuticles, skin and even your hair. There's a good book called You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty. It's worth the investment to pick it up and just keep as a reference. I am by no stretch a "health nut". I smoke cigarettes, drink maybe once a week and haven't changed my diet - EXCEPT I do drink half my weight in ounces of water EVERY day. I am 38 years old and have had mildly annoying breakouts ALL of my life, including now. Even though I still break out sometimes and I have residual "pock" marks from my younger bad acne days and oily skin, my skin actually looks better now than when I was much younger. The skin all over my body is more supple, plumped and sexy, even my knees and elbows. I sincerely wish I knew how something as simple as staying hydrated could affect my complexion so drastically, relatively quickly and cheaply 20 years ago, but I'm glad I know now.
I will be honest with you. Of course I slip up sometimes and forget to have all 3 of my 20-oz bottles of water a day (I weigh 120 pounds). If I'm having a date [LIKE TONIGHT] and want to be sure I'll be bright-eyed and luminous and I either had a long night or just want to perk up, I'll have two bottles of water (approx. 40 oz.) just before bed, slather on my facial lotion and then follow up with 2 more bottles first thing in the morning. No kidding; well hydrated skin does have a luminosity that drier skin just doesn't. By dinner time, I see a difference that matters to me.
And seriously, if you're a skeptic like I normally am, use your camera phone or a better digital one and take as close a picture of your face RIGHT NOW. For the next two days don't change anything in your diet or skincare routine, just add the correct amount of water to your daily intake. Then take another picture and compare. I don't know your age, but little lines around your eyes may plump up, larger pores look smaller when skin is plumped and you may notice a difference in oil production.
Seeing is believing. You've got nothing to lose. And if you can stand it keep going and continue with the water for a whole week. I really believe you will surprise yourself with the results. Once your body gets used to the new water intake, you won't be running to the restroom as often, either. I go a little more than others, but it levels out eventually.

It depends on the person I guess. I drink 8-12 cups of water a day and I only drink water no soda or anything else and it hasnt done anything for my complexion.

Definitely does, and it's the first thing a dermatologist will recommend. Drink 8 glasses of water or more a day, for a month, and see the difference!

yes, it helps, dont be silly. It flushes awy toxins, thats why we need it so much to begin with. water is the solution to many of us humans' problems. it wont cure you, but it should help with common pimples and whatnot, but if you have chronic acne, you need to see a doctor because 9 times out of 10 it is a chemical imbaance, and it needs to be fixed before you can start to look ur best

Hell yeah!
I went from being exhaused every day to being prightly and energetic. You know why? Because I changed jobs and my new workplace had a water cooler, from which people just drank like all the time at their desks! It makes you pee of course, but your skin becomes much suppler. Try it!
